Description: This organization covers all aspects of cost and project management, but they do have many features tailored to planners. The have a respected Planning and Scheduling Professionals (PSP) certification for planners who can pass their rigorous test.

The site includes professional practice guides on estimating, planning and scheduling, email discussion lists, technical articles, job postings and an expert witness program.

Description: APM is the UK member of the IPMA (International Project Management Association). It appears to be focused primarily on project management, but there is a Specific Interest Group (SIG) or chapter specifically for Planning.

Description: An organization dedicated to promoting the planning profession. They have varying levels of membership and all applicants must be vetted by a panel.

The organization recruits experienced planners and has published on the site many excellent articles and case studies written by the members as a condition for membership. The site also contains a page with job listings and a calendar of planning conferences/seminars.

Description: A chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI), the College of Scheduling (COS) is dedicated solely to advancing the techniques, practice and profession of project scheduling. Membership is open to all members of PMI.

The site includes several articles and papers that were presented at the PMI COS annual conferences and information on joining their Scheduling Excellence Initiative.
